1. Use technology to save time.

Have you considered using technology to save time? Using productivity tools is a fantastic method for saving time in a busy schedule. Technology has advanced so much that it can get things done almost in half the time and with double efficiency.

Although some tasks can’t be left alone to be done by the machines, there are a lot of tasks that the machines can take care of. For example, there are several tasks that need to be done repetitively on a daily basis. Such work doesn’t need much attention and can be managed without human intervention, so why not automate them? This is a great option for tasks like posting on social media, sending out email responses, setting appointment reminders, etc. This will not only save you time but will also help in boosting your productivity.


2. Set time limits.

As entrepreneurs, you might have several meetings to attend and a lot of other tasks to take care of during the day. But it's important to remember that you only have 24 hours in a day. So don’t let any random requests, unplanned meetings, teleconferences, etc., steal more of your time.

However, you might face situations that just can’t be avoided. A good idea to manage time when such unplanned events come up is to set a hard stop time. Make sure not to spend more than, say, 20 minutes on unplanned meetings, or not to spend more than 10 minutes on unscheduled calls. That way, you get your job done without having to struggle a lot to make them fit into your schedule.


3. Focus on one task at a time.

The term multitasking isn’t new. You may think that you can get more work done by handling multiple jobs at a time, but the truth is that it hampers your productivity and kills a lot of your time.

The best way to get more work done is to focus on one task at a time. That way, your job gets done sooner. And once it's done, you can easily shift your focus to your next job. Having your undivided attention on one task boosts your efficiency, which in turn boosts your productivity as well.
