Your profile is the first thing people see when they land on your page and the first impression of your business. There’s some tips which will not only help people find your business but also encourage them to buy:
1. Ensure your cover photo on Facebook is striking, with your logo and include information on what you do if this isn’t clear from your name
2. Your bio ('About Me' section) in Instagram & Facebook should be concise bullet points, listing your services, location and a call to action (i.e. DM to book, or 'Visit Our Website' to book)
3. Your ‘name’ in Instagram should be searchable keywords and not your business name. So if you’re a hairdresser in Liverpool, your name should be ‘Hairdresser Liverpool’. You will then show up in search results within Instagram for these terms. Don’t worry though, your business name can be found in your ‘@‘ and also in your logo.
